Are you between 18-30 years old and passionate about exploring public spaces through artistic expression? Join (RE)CLAIMING THE VOID, a project for Ghent European Youth Capital, as we dive into the history, use, and transformation of public spaces in Bologna and Ghent.

𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁
We invite participants to investigate how public spaces are occupied, transformed, and experienced. We aim to question: How public is a public space? Can private spaces become public? What happens when we occupy spaces traditionally used for other purposes?

This isn’t about following a script—it’s about empowering you to reshape the understanding of public spaces through your art, whether it’s installation, performance, or other creative mediums.

𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝘆?
🌍 Young creatives (18-30 years old) – With or without professional artistic experience.
🎨 Creative thinkers – Those ready to challenge and express ideas in visual art, performance, etc.
🤝 Collaborators – Eager to work in a group, brainstorm, and develop ideas collectively (main language: English).

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗲 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿
🔹 Co-creation: Two open co-creation weeks in a safe space for cultural exchange.
🔹 Financial support: Travel, accommodation, lunch, and dinner covered.
